This is the first time I’m reading your work, and yes, I’m totally aligned with what you’re saying. I’ll share this with my daughter. Thank you!

Hi Friend, we’re on the same wavelength! I’m working on a post with similar themes. I love your practical suggestions!

Managing personal energy is part of every client discussion. What drains or fills differ from person to person and throughout the lifecycle. Thank you for sharing this helpful perspective!

Funny how that works out... the whole wavelength thing!

“You don’t need to disappear into the woods”

While I understand your meaning, about not going off to live away from everyone and everything, my first thought was how balancing and renewing my daily saunters through the woods are. Stepping into the woods on a simple trail leaves the ego behind. I’ve always resonated with trees and woodland spaces…and that is living, on a daily basis, much of your wonderful advice.

Also, reading your words, I felt nostalgic for life before the internet, cellphones, and social media! I’m not really engaged very much (normally 😉) with social media and I feel grateful for the higher consciousness of this Badlands community…we stay informed without being inundated.

Love reading an ObservingConsciousness post 🙏❤️

Thank you for taking the time to share your insights and wisdom!

Have a beautiful day…in your mind and thus in the world! 🕊💫

Me too, FJ... "Stepping into the woods on a simple trail leaves the ego behind. I’ve always resonated with trees and woodland spaces…and that is living, on a daily basis, much of your wonderful advice."

You are right, it is about balance... setting the world as lower priority to our health.

@holonabove - So well said. I agree with everything except the sideways digs at Woo. I love me some Woo. Woo (and protecting my energy) changed my life, and I will save that story for my own Substack. :-) Thank you for this reminder.

Observing Consciousness's avatar

Thank you, MLGA... (mil-gah)... I love me some woo too... what I try to do is separate the two, linguistically... if you decode that post, the woo stands out...

What I found over time is, the ego-filter of the "not fully awake" are programmed so that woo words trigger immediate shut-down... "oh, that is new age" ... "oh that is religious" ... "oh that is {insert embedded trigger word here}"... all preprogrammed to stunt consciousness growth using fear tactics... "Refer Madness" - to go extreme...

Check out my Wired to Feel series... talk about woo... but good woo...

Thank you! So glad I found your posts, look forward to reading always, so insightful, I have been in this digital warrior mode for so many years, it is exhausting figuring out this 5th gen warfare, finding truth between the plethora of lies, the filth going on behind the scenes, but hey, trying to put boundaries…one of these days soon I feel that so much will be revealed and then we can start to take deep breaths but stay vigilant, change coming!! Thank you again for all you are doing!!❣️

Indeed, I have started learning to draw at the ripe age of 65, just to try to calm my mind. It’s tough, we are all being pulled in so many directions. I love this article!

Thx! - Very timely and essential topic.

Considering these aspects is must in order to stay in game fresh and smooth (and I am sure very many here have come to realize it). In my life I have noticed that many seem to understand the significance of boundaries only when they are forced to... and often only as adults.

Observing Consciousness's avatar

Antti, I agree... many people's boundaries are not firmly set, they are malleable... which opens people up for confrontation. Over the years, I realized that setting FIRM boundaries and enforcing them unapologetically, has created a bubble around me that people have learned not to invade.

I can relate so well - I also realized in the past, that setting clear solid boundaries is just something we have to do, as a "healthy deterrent", however uncomfortable it may feel. And Even more so the more emphatical we are per our personality.

On the other hand, those who value personal freedom and autonomy more by nature, will get to that point earlier, I would guess.

What an excellent reminder! I love the question of whether we’re adding or depleting our energy.

My coffee early is great, but my time (sometimes barefoot) in my yard, caring for the plants God created, talking to my chickens, watching the summer clouds, smelling the rain and hearing it coming, the sharp thunder…. I’ve been affected, but limit my input to some whom God has inspired, and to a handful of others who have been gifted for their role, as you are, and will use your guidelines to regain more of my energy.

Thank you!!

Beautiful ❤️

“…limit my input to some whom God has inspired” 👍

Badlands especially has been a path of catching the news while not being overtaken…That’s how I found OC and all the “gifted” by a higher power contributors and commenters!

And now, since you mentioned it…off for a meander in the yard, barefoot 🙏❤️

I very much enjoy your work and I wonder if you might like to read a short piece I wrote at the beginning of this year on the subject of preserving calm in our lives…

Thank you as always!
